6 Students Rescued from Female Kidnappers in Lagos

Alleged plan by a female kidnap syndicate to abduct some students on their way to school last Friday, in Aguda area of Surulere, Lagos, was botched, following the the arrest of three of its members.
The women were said to have succeeded in cajoling six students who were heading to a public school on the Island and zoomed off towards Orile/Mile Two.

There are, however, different accounts as to how they met their waterloo as a version of the account had it that the eldest of the abducted students, a Junior Secondary School 2 girl, raised an alarm on noticing that the route plied was different from the regular route to their school.
According to Vanguard, the alarm raised reportedly attracted curious commuters at Orile who chased after the vehicle but another version had it that the students were kept inside the boot of the vehicle.

However, on reaching Orile, commercial motorcyclists were said to have been attracted by bangs from the boot of the car and out of curiosity, reportedly stopped the car and demanded that the boot be opened for them to ascertain what was inside.

On noticing that the students were abducted, a mob descended on the three women and attempted to set them ablaze but for the timely intervention of policemen from Orile division. The mob, however, succeeded in setting their operational car ablaze.

One of the eyewitnesses at the scene said:
“ One of the students said when they noticed this was not the way to their school, they told their abductors to take them back from where they picked them but they didn’t respond.‘’She said she started crying and shouting at the same time. When they got to salvage bus stop at Orile, their cry attracted some area boys who approached the abductors and asked them where they were going.”
Efforts to speak with the suspects and the rescued students at Orile Police division failed as Vanguard was asked to go to the spokesman, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Joe Offor, for comment.

‘’Immediately, he said that, the students cried for help, saying the people were kidnappers. Sensing trouble, the kidnappers immediately sped off . But unfortunately for them , they drove into a port hole which caused one of the tyres to burst.‘’Yet they kept moving until they were caught up with at Abu street . The ladies were stripped naked, while their vehicle was destroyed . They would have been set ablaze but for Police intervention.”

Sad Development. Hope this isn't a case of what a man can do, a woman can .........

I haven't Found the Right Man - Genevieve

Genevieve Nnaji has opened up on why she decided to produce her own movie ‘Road to Yesterday’, ,following her long hiatus .She also revealed though she hasn't ruled out marriage, she is waiting for the right man.. Excerpts from her interview with Chux Ohai of Punch
On why it has taken her a long time to join the growing ranks of new generation movie producers in the country, Genevieve says,
“I chose to be an actress. Acting was what I had always wanted to do. I don’t think that I ever imagined myself producing a film. I love acting. If the Nigerian movie industry was as stable as it should be, I probably would have been on the set of a movie every day of my life and not be bothered about what goes on behind the camera. So it is a matter of choice and preference.”
On marriage ..

Genevieve to choose a life partner and finally walk down the aisle, marriage does not seem to be in her agenda yet. Asked when she would finally take the plunge, the actress replies that contrary to speculations, she has not ruled out marriage. But that she would make up her mind as soon as she meets the right person

"I haven’t found the right man yet. When he comes, I’ll get married,” she says

Looking forward to the day journalists and the society at large would quit throwing the "marriage jibe" on every successful lady. It's feels like measuring her worth or equating her success on the platform of marriage.

Marriage does not and will never define anyone. As long as she is making impact, touching lives and a big inspiration to her world, then she rocks big time.

When marriage comes, it will be a bonus to her and not the entirety of her life.

Star Magazine shades the Kardashians, calls them 'Destroyers of Men'

This is way below the belt. Everyone should be responsible for their choices.

Lamar came from a disturbed background
Scott has been having issues with drug addiction
Kanyes carer isn't in tatters
Caitlyn issues has been way back before he married Kris.

Accusing these wonderful ladies of choices these adults make is making them look like babies who are helpless.
