Diary of a MAD Woman - 3

Princess paced the room again for the third time. She was really getting nervous and apprehensive. She has looked for it everywhere and couldn't locate it. She had searched under the mattress, between the book rack on the table, in the drawers. She couldn't pin-point where next to search and besides she was careful not to leave the room scattered and messy.

She Stopped pacing and stood for a long time eyes facing the wall wall clock on the wall. She had five more minute to spend. She withdrew her gaze and decide to search the room once again but something caught her attention. She turned sharply and stared at the wall clock intently this time around and she laughed aloud excitedly. She had found it. She walked towards the clock with uncertainty, what if it isn't there she thought. She lifted the clock, turned it around, located the little hook used for hanging it and pressed hard on it expecting something to happen but nothing did. She pressed harder a second time and heard a faint sound as the compartment went open. She removed the hidden item and carefully placed it in her handbag.

She carefully placed the wall clock back and realized she had exhausted her time. It was time for her to go. She closed the room and was walking down the exit point when she heard a loud click on the door.
Alarm bells went off her head as she thought frantically the next step to take. She dashed into the kitchen and crouched behind the large freezer with her heart in her mouth

Why was he early today? she thought. Why did he suddenly come back this afternoon. She could hear their voices as he didn't come back alone, she could hear the distinct voice of female laughter and giggles as they made their way to the sitting room. She couldn't make her move now as she would be discovered. She would exercise a little patience, may be when they retire to the bedroom, she would make her move.

"get two champagne glasses and lets celebrate" Princess heard him tell her

Princess panicked and began to sweat. The glasses were kept in a shelve above the freezer, there was no way she wasn't going to be seen if she
came to get the glasses. She needed to act fast. She looked around for a safe place and settle for the sink compartment. She opened it and an awful smell greeted her. The sink hasn't been repaired all this while, it has been left like that after all this while. She squeezed herself in and shut the door.

Princess could hear her get the champagne glasses form the shelve and move over to the sink. She opened the faucet to rinse the glasses and princess was greeted with water as it washed over her through the leaky sink. Princes prayed that she wouldn't do any more washing or she would be drenched in smelly water before she made her escape.

"i forgot to dispose of this dirty sink water" princess heard her talk to herself.
"stupid man, he wouldn't call the plumber to fix this small problem mtcheeew"
"if i don't dispose of it, he wouldn't think of it, stupid man"

Princess died a hundredth time inside the sink compartment. What was going to happen if she suddenly decided to dispose of the dirty water now. She had to make her move, she had to risk it now or face the consequences. She would wait a little and then make her move.

Princess heard her remove something from the plate rack and left the kitchen. It should be a tray she guessed.

Princess opened the sink compartment little by little, glanced around the kitchen and trained her ears on hearing the conversation being made in the sitting room before she made her move. She clutched her bag tightly to herself and tip-toed out of the kitchen to the exit holding her foot wear to avoid making any noise.

There was no way she gate wasn't going to make a huge sound , but if she made it to the door quick, she would be long gone, she thought. Luckily for her, the gate was opened leaving the door to battle with. She held the door knob, twisted it while hearing a sharp creaking sound, with a push opened the door and ran with all her might down the stairs.

She could hear the shout of "who is it on the door" by him, but she would be long gone before they found out.
